» Honolulu Police Chief Boisse Correa said actions taken by Honolulu police officers with regards to the takeover attempt at Iolani Palace Friday were appropriate. A story on Page A4 in yesterday's morning edition misquoted Correa as saying the actions were inappropriate. The online edition has been corrected.

» The Waipio Little League team advanced to the Little League World Series semifinals with a 10-2 win Sunday. A photo caption on Page A1 in yesterday's morning edition incorrectly said the team was from Waipahu.

» Joevon Brown, her mother, Anna, and Joevon's daughter Mahina, 1, stood in line to audition for the TV series "Lost" at Ala Wai Elementary School Saturday. In a photo caption on Page A17 Sunday, Joevon was incorrectly identified as a man, and Mahina was incorrectly identified as Joevon's sister. The online edition has been corrected.

» Retired University of Hawaii-Hilo administrator Audrey Furukawa and friends donated $25,000 for an endowment that will help UH-Hilo students study abroad. A Newswatch item on Page A3 Thursday incorrectly left out the friends. The online edition has been corrected.

» An article and fact box on Pages A1, B1 and B2 Wednesday said Longs Drug Stores had 39 stores in Hawaii, including two that were under construction. Longs has 39 stores, not including the two under construction. The online edition has been corrected.
