Bradlene's Poodles Passion Delight and Pocket Full of Joy kept their hair up and tangle-free with the help of tissue and rubber bands at the West Oahu Kennel Club Championship yesterday at Barbers Point Elementary School. The poodles are owned by Bradley and Arlene Odagiri. The show continues today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is free.

Hundreds endured the summer heat yesterday as they stood in line to audition for the television series "Lost" at Ala Wai Elementary School. Joevon Brown, left, and her mother, Anna, checked on Joevon's daughter, Mahina, 1, outside the school. Show producers held the auditions in hopes of gaining new faces for the popular Hawaii-based drama.

Joevon Brown, her mother, Anna, and Joevon’s daughter Mahina, 1, stood in line to audition for the TV series “Lost” at Ala Wai Elementary School Saturday. Originally, this article incorrectly identified Joevon as a man, and Mahina was incorrectly identified as Joevon’s sister.
