» A 10-year-old Honokaa boy was critically injured when a bicycle collided with a car Sunday on the Big Island. His 13-year-old brother was also injured. A
headline on a Police/Fire brief on Page A4 in yesterday's morning edition incorrectly said the 13-year-old was in critical condition.
» A message from the governor on the start of Hanukkah on Saturday's editorial page was mistakenly changed to say that the Jewish holiday began at sundown Dec. 16. Hanukkah actually began at sundown Dec. 15.
CLARIFICATION
» In
Monday's "Hawaii at Work" interview on Page C1 with Frank Dumlao, lead teacher at Kahi Mohala, the morning edition had Dumlao responding to the question "How do you address that?" (referring to students with attention deficit disorders) with the answer, "With medicine ..." The afternoon edition added "(as prescribed by the doctors)" to make clear that Dumlao is not the one who prescribes or administers the medicine.
