Menehune Mac has opened its factory doors to allow children to create handmade gifts for Mom during the Fifth Annual Mother's Day Chocolate Making Event. Keao Ashley, 6, got some hands-on experience yesterday with making gourmet chocolate. For $8 for a small box and $13 for a large box, children can make the candy and personalize a label for the box. Proceeds will benefit the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation. There will be one more opportunity to take part in this event, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Menehune Mac office at 841-3344 or by e-mail at mothersday@menehunemac.com.
