Priscilla G. Harpham, 93, a librarian and educator in Hawaii Catholic schools for more than 30 years, died Sunday in Queen's Medical Center.
Harpham retired in 1979 from St. Francis School, where she had been librarian for 12 years and vice principal for seven years. She returned to work a year later as principal of the former Star of the Sea High School and retired again in 1985. She was formerly employed as a librarian at the University of Hawaii Sinclair Library and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. In recent years she served on the school board for St. Patrick School.
She was born in Janesville, Wis. She graduated from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, received a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina and a master's degree in library science from University of Hawaii.
She is survived by son Douglas, daughter Anne and three granddaughters.
A funeral Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Church. Inurnment will be at 11:30 a.m. at Oahu Cemetery. The family requests aloha attire and no flowers.
