Marathon runners pounded down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki early yesterday morning. Approximately 25,000 entries were received for the 32nd Annual Honolulu Marathon, which starts on Ala Moana Boulevard, winds through downtown back to Waikiki, then out east to Hawaii Kai before returning to the finish line at Kapiolani Park.

Yu Yumota grimaced in pain after completing the 32nd Annual Honolulu Marathon. "I haven't started cramping yet, but if I move I can feel it," said an exhausted Yumota. He received medical attention and was OK.
