A 21-year-old Kalihi man was fatally stabbed late Friday after a fight in front of Fuji's Market on North King Street, police said.
Police had no information last night on the suspect, who is still at large.
The fight started about 10:06 p.m. when two men approached Andrew Nakoa, Jr., and a friend in front of the market.
The four got into a fight and one of the suspects allegedly stabbed Nakoa in the chest, police and family members said.
Nakoa's father, Andrew Sr., said the knife pierced his son's heart. Nakoa Jr. was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m.
Nakoa said he saw his son last less than 30 minutes before he died, when the 21-year-old security guard and his friend volunteered to go get beer at Fuji's Market.
When Nakoa heard about the stabbing from one of his son's friends, "we went down there and we saw my son on the ground."
Nakoa tried to give his son cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but was unable to revive him.
"When the paramedics came, they were trying to revive him and they couldn't, either," Nakoa said.
