Kono tied for first
Punahou golfer Stephanie Kono is in a three-way tie for first place in the 2004 Westfield Junior PGA Championship in Ohio, despite shooting a 4-over-par 75 yesterday.
With a two-round total of 3-over 145, Kono is deadlocked with two California golfers -- Angela Park and Mina Harigae.
"I made a really bad bogey on the par-5 third hole, but then I got it back on the seventh hole where I made birdie," said Kono, who had a hole-in-one in the first round. "I thought I played pretty well on the front nine, except for that one mistake."
Wailuku's Kelly Nakashima is 14 strokes behind the leaders.
With a two-round total of 10-over 152, Hilo's Jacob Low is 12 stroked behind boys division leader Miguel Cabrera-Bello of Spain.

Metzger and teammate Matt Fuerbringer had to forfeit their opening-round game after Metzger couldn't compete due to an illness.
