Magazine's readers laud Hawaiian

Travel + Leisure magazine readers have ranked Hawaiian Airlines the best domestic airline that serves Hawaii and the nation's fifth best airline overall in the magazine's 2004 World's Best Awards, Hawaiian said yesterday.

Airlines were rated based on food, cabin comfort, customer service, in-flight service and value. Last month, the magazine's 2004 World's Best Service Awards ranked Hawaiian as the top domestic airline with flights to Hawaii and fifth best overall in the category of service.

How the census can help you

Two free workshops next month in Honolulu will show businesses and organizations how to get Hawaii data from the 2000 Census and the American Community Survey.

The workshops, "Making Decisions on Data," will be held Aug. 9 and 10 at the Keoni Ana Building on the corner of Alakea and Beretania streets. The event is sponsored by the U.S. Census Bureau's L.A. regional office and the state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism.
