kicks off tomorrow

The Special Olympics Hawaii Holiday Classic, offering competition in basketball, bowling, bocce and speed skating for disabled athletes, will be held tomorrow to Sunday at Hickam Air Force Base and Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay.
About 850 athletes, accompanied by 285 coaches, from more than 65 delegations in Hawaii will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals.
For security reasons, the events will not be open to the public.
Opening ceremonies will be held tomorrow at Hickam's Hangar No. 7, featuring the parade of athletes and a torch-lighting ceremony.
On Saturday evening, a Victory Dance will be held.
