Haleiwa man arrested in alleged assault
Police arrested a 21-year-old Haleiwa man Monday and are looking for another man in a beating that left a 21-year-old Honolulu man unconscious in front of a University-area bar last month.
Police said that on Oct. 17, the victim left the bar with two men.
While walking to their cars, the victim and one of the two men got into an argument, and the victim was pushed to the ground, police said.
The victim suffered multiple facial fractures and was left unconscious, police said.
The Haleiwa man was later identified and arrested on second-degree assault and four outstanding contempt warrants, police said. He was released pending investigation.
