Candido Cacal Aceret, 89, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired Mauna Kea Beach Hotel ground maintenance man and yard service man, died Aug. 1, 2003, in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He also was a ranch hand for Parker Ranch and a Francis Brown Beach grounds maintenance employee. He was born in Pulangi, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. Madeline Alexander "Kaui" Barrett, 69, of Waianae, a hula dancer and a cruise directress for SS Lurline, Royal Viking Lines and American Hawaiian Cruises, died Aug. 10, 2003. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Roy; sons Bill and Son-Son; daughters Danie-Girl Nakagawa, Baby-Lou Kealoha and Bunts Felisi; brothers Albert Jr. and Allen Alexander; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
