HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY: The guests of honor were unfashionably late, but Malia Song, left, Tommy D and Linda Miyashiro had a great time anyway as Fred Piluso commemorated the 20th anniversary of Scruples Beach Club with an early evening VIP party on Wednesday. Song was there representing Bacardi rum. Flash Hansen dropped in to represent the Wave Waikiki.

THEY'RE HAPPY!: Starla Benford, left, Kelly Hu and Amy J. Carle were tired but happy guests of honor Wednesday at the opening-night party for "The Vagina Monologues" at Compadres. Eden-Lee Murray, director of this year's local V-Day production of the show, brought her son, Everett. Hawaiian Ryan, Dr. Rick Williams and Miss Waikiki 2003 Jennifer Fairbank also attended.

A GREAT "CABARET": Johan Nilson, left, Kristian Lei, Kaori Kiana and Jaime Blu wrapped up a great little show at the Honolulu Cafe with "Cabaret" on Thursday. Nilson's solo guitar provided all the musical support necessary. A reggae-beat version of "I Could've Danced All Night" was a great idea. Leni Knight presented the show with support from H-Cafe owner Jose Jube.

BACK FROM A VERY DARK PLACE: Diamond Head Theatre's artistic director, John Rampage, celebrated at Tavola Tavola with his leading ladies, Cathy Foy, left, and Devon Guard, during the after-show cast party for DHT's impressive but dark staging of "Follies" Friday. Cast member James Berger Jr., who plays a waiter, reprised his role by serving Rampage a martini on a tray.
