"THANKS, ATHENA!": "Beehive" cast members Patrice Scott, left, Alison L.B. Maldonado and Michelle Baltazar partied with costume designer Athena Espania after the opening-night performance at Manoa Valley Theatre on Wednesday. Musical director Alethea Train kept the champagne flowing. Espania's costumes help make the show a nonstop parody of the 1960s.

A PERFECT CONCERT: Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera relaxed after performing for almost three hours Saturday at the Hawai'i Convention Center. The multimedia show included both artists' biggest hits and some great surprises as well.

"WELCOME TO GAY NIGHT!": Comedian Jason Stuart welcomed a cautious but ultimately enthusiastic crowd to the opening of his show, "My Big Gay Jewish Comedy Tour," at the Laugh Factory in the Queen Kapiolani Hotel on Thursday. Stuart became his own pre-opening opening act when he mingled with the crowd and checked on their seating arrangements before show time.
