A VERY GOOD TIME TOGETHER: The musical event of the weekend was the pair of concerts played by Cecilio Rodriguez, left, and Henry Kapono on Friday and Saturday at Kapono's. C&K played to capacity-plus crowds both nights. They opened with "All In Love Is Fair" on Saturday and played all their big hits, and some early favorites as well -- "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," for example -- before closing with "Goodtimes Together."

FEELIN' GOOD ISLAND MUSIC: Ho'onua's Christian Yrizarry enjoyed the Saturday concert backstage with Erin Issa. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Gaylord Holomalia and Marti "The Marti" Kerton, were among other other notables backstage. KCCN/FM100's Bill "Billy V" Van Osdol emceed the event.

JUST CRUZIN': Guy Cruz, left, Solanna and Jeff Kloetzel relaxed after Cruz opened for C&K (Solanna, who uses only one name, was one of Cruz's backing vocalists; Kloetzel, composer of the risqué Homegrown '97 hit, "Piko Baby" played guitar). Cruz and his band did a great job; Reign was hot as the after-show entertainment.
