BOYS

>> Jonathan Spiker, St. Louis wrestling: Pinned Punahou's Kevin Takasaki to capture the title in the 145-pound weight class at the Data House State Wrestling Championships. The victory gave the junior his third state championship and helped the Crusaders secure their second consecutive team title.

GIRLS

>> Justine Swafford, Kahuku wrestling: Pinned Punahou's Naomi Karlen to win the 98-pound title and help the Red Raiders win their first girls team championship.

BASKETBALL

>> Elyse Umeda, Punahou: Averaged 15.3 points per game and recorded eight assists and 11 steals at the Kamehameha Imua Challenge. She also made the winning free throws to lift the Buffanblu to an overtime win over Kamehameha.

>> Becky Hogue, Punahou: Averaged 16 points and six rebounds per game in the Imua Challenge. She also blocked five shots.

CHEERLEADING

>> Kamehameha: Won the first state title in the medium division (11 members or fewer) at the Local Motion State Cheerleading Championships.

>> Aiea: Captured the state championship in the large team division (12-18 members).

GOLF

>> Troy Higashiyama, Mid-Pacific: Shot a 6-under-par 66 in last week's ILH tournament at West Loch Golf Course.

PADDLING

>> Kamehameha girls crew: Brooke Calpito, Angelica Chong, Kanani Souza, Krystal Tim Sing, Tehina Wright and Lorie Nakamura edged Iolani to win the girls title at the inaugural Hawaii Canoe Racing Association State Paddling Championships.

>> Punahou boys crew: Kapono Brown, Keith Beers, Nick Huntsman, Wil Foster, Darragh O'Carroll and Scott Bright beat Lahainaluna by six seconds to win the boys title.

>> Lahainaluna mixed crew: Kazuo Flores, Hoku Gonzales, Rose Butihi, Kaipo Kekona, Vanessa Sanchez and Audrey Chihara beat King Kekaulike by a quarter-second to win the mixed championship.

WRESTLING

>> Melissa Orden, McKinley: Pinned Kahuku's Kawai Chee to win her third state title in the girls 103-pound weight class.

>> Caylene Valdez, Moanalua: Defeated Kahuku's Shanel Vivas to win her third state title in the girls 108-pound class.

>> Stephany Lee, Moanalua: Pinned Kahuku's Anela Iseke for her third state title in the girls 155-pound class.

>> Ashley Gaspar, Nanakuli: Beat Leilehua's Marita Lavea-Jennings for her third championship in the girls 175-pound class.

>> Iwalani Fonoimoana, Kamehameha: Captured her third state crown by beating Leilehua's Matalaloa Tuitele in the girls 220-pound championship match.

>> Justin Kawamata, Mililani: Unseeded entering the tournament, he knocked off the top seed in the 130-pound class in the preliminary rounds and went on to beat Iolani's Owen Yonehara in the final.

>> Jeffery Lavita, Lahainaluna: Won the boys 152-pound division by beating Hilo's Alex Kalawe 5-0 in a double-overtime battle.

>> Kainoa Casco, Lahainaluna: Captured his second state championship by pinning Farrington's Paul Laga in the boys 160-pound final.

>> Justin Luafalemana, Molokai: Upset top-seeded and defending state champion Prince Brown of St. Louis in the boys 275 final.
