Don't get caught with no place to take your honey on Feb. 14. Restaurants book up early -- in fact, many prime reservation times are already taken -- so consider your options now. All specials are for dinner only, except at Hoku's.

Chef Mavro: Four- and six-course menus offered with wine pairings; $95 and $121 ($65 and $89 without wines). The four-course menu comprises Pacific Oysters Cressonniére, Keahole Lobster in an Asian Broth, Filet of Beef Tenderloin with Confit Maui Onions, Chocolate Whispers of Love with Gold Leaves. The six-course menu: Sautéed Foie Gras in a Warm Spinach Salad, Curried Kahuku Prawns, Onaga in a Hawaiian Salt Crust, Red Deer Venison Loin, Bleu de Bresse Baked in Phylo, Chocolate Whispers of Love. Chez Michel: Five-course meal features seafood appetizer plate, French Onion Soup, salad, choice from among nine entrees, plus dessert of strawberry crepes. Entrees range from Rosemary Chicken Risotto at $35.50 to Lobster Imperial at $49.95. Call 955-7866.

Kahala Mandarin Oriental: Hoku's lunch and dinner fixed-price menu include Chinese-Style BBQ Quail Salad and rack of lamb. Cost is $29.75 for lunch; $75 for dinner ($45 children). Call 739-8780. Plumeria Beach Café dinner buffet includes Roasted Porkloin with Calvados Sauce and Grilled Beef Medallions with Red Wine Sauce. Cost is $41.50 ($20.75 children). Call 739-8760.

L'Uraku: Four-course menu features Bacon-Wrapped Sea Scallop Won Ton, Miso Butter Poached Kona Cold Lobster Tail, entree choice of duck breast, filet mignon or steamed moi, plus dessert. Cost is $41 to $45, depending on entree ($19 more with wine pairings). Call 955-0552.

Padovani's Restaurant: Three-course meal features an appetizer choice of lobster or scallop salad, duck liver with onion tart or portobello mushroom with polenta. Entree choices are grilled John Dory, lobster ragout, duck breast, veal rib eye or roast lamb loin. Dessert is a Creamy Milk Chocolate Velvet Heart. Cost is $65. Call 946-3456.

Plantation Cafe, Ala Moana Hotel: Buffet includes prime rib, langoustine lobster and scallops, fresh fish, braised beef, baked chicken, pork loin, shrimp, oysters and sashimi, plus extensive dessert selections. Cost is $25.50 ($12.50 children. Call 955-4811, ext. 4070.

Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar: Five-course menu may be customized, with several choices for each course. Third course, for example, offers miso butterfish, opakapaka, seared prawns or lobster tail; fourth course offers beef filet, lamb chop or duck breast. Cost is $38 (add $8 for lobster). Sheraton Moana Surfrider: Banyan Veranda three-course dinner includes salad with seared ahi and ono, entree choice of beef tenderloin or Veranda Fish Trio, plus dessert. Entertainment by pianist Ginny Tiu and singer Johnny Valentine. Cost is $42. Call 922-3111.

Sheraton Princess Kaiulani: Cupid's Seafood Buffet at Pikake Terrace includes cold bar with crab legs, shrimp, mussels and sashimi; cooking station with steamed clams and sautéed shrimp; plus entrees of calamari steak, cioppino and beef sirloin. Star of Honolulu: Dinner cruise with live jazz and dancing, departs 5:30 p.m. from Aloha Tower. Menu includes Northern White Bean Soup, Smoked Duck Salad, lobster and beef tenderloin. Cost is $164. Call 983-7827.

Mardi Gras: Brew Moon Restaurant & Microbrewery is hosting a dinner buffet with live jazz, a costume contest and door prizes, 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Menu includes New Orleans Beans and Rice, Crawfish Etouffee, Cajun Roast Pork Loin, Chicken Rochambeau, Mardi Gras Slaw, Sweet Kahuku Corn Maque Choux, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Cost is $25. Also, three-course Mardi Gras menus featuring many of the buffet items will be offered through Feb. 12. Cost is $21.50. Call 593-0088.

Penfolds Winemaker Dinner: A five-course meal will be paired with wines from Australia's Penfolds, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Molokai Ranch & Lodge. Menu includes Ahi Carpaccio (with Koonuga Hills Chardonnay), Pheasant Smithame (Kalimna Shiraz) and Stuffed Rack of Lamb (Cabernet Sauvignon).
