This is the front counter of Columbia Inn, near the cash register. At the register is Inn employee cashier Jamie. Behind the glass case the the right is employee Ross Nishida.

Enjoying the food are, from right, in the first booth, Jeanette Taam.

Turning left from Taam, in the second booth, are Rich Sakimoto and Noni Medeiros. (Rick moved while I was shooting.)

In the third booth are Joe and Norie Mendez.

In the fourth booth are Vikki Williams, left, Leo Lynch and Aggie Eberhart (the head with her back to the camera).

This was photographed Jan. 2, 2001 in the bar of Columbia Inn, 645 Kapiolani Blvd., Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 next door to the Newspaper Bldg.

The restaurant is slated to close on Jan. 5.
