A cookbook is normally dedicated to good eating and good times. This one is dedicated to seven lost friends. Xerox employees
seek solace in sharingSales of the "XCIP Cookbook" -- the title stands for Xerox Hawaii Community Involvement Program -- will go to the families of the Xerox workers killed by gunman Byran Uyesugi last November.
The Community Involvement Program promotes volunteer projects for Xerox employees; the cookbook features photographs of the group in action. But in planning its social action projects for this year, CIP committee members decided to do something for their own family.
"Our hope is that you will enjoy what we've shared and remember what has been lost," they write in the book's introduction.
The cookbook is available at Foodland and Sack N Save stores for $15 ($14 with Maika'i Card). Or order by mail: "XCIP Cookbook," care of Xerox Hawaii, 700 Bishop St., Suite 1200, Honolulu 96813.
