With her team down, 7-3, in the third game, Raiders coach Ann Kang called timeout.
"We were playing well, but we were hurting ourselves with hitting errors. I just told them, 'Let's get going,' " Kang said.
Iolani (8-2) responded by scoring 12 of the next 17 points. Punahou (9-1), ranked 10th nationally by FoxSports.com and 14th by HighWired, drops into a first-place tie with St. Francis (9-1).
In another ILH upset last night, Maryknoll topped defending champion Kamehameha, 15-10, 18-16. The Raiders and Warriors (8-2) are tied for second place.
The first-round schedule wraps up tomorrow, with Punahou playing Kamehameha and St. Francis facing University.
