Her husband, Shinji Nakagawa, 40, remained in guarded condition, and son, Hiroto, 11, remained in fair condition in Queen's Medical Center. Two daughters, Yuki, 13, and Miki, 9, were released yesterday morning from Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
The family arrived here last Thursday and was scheduled to leave today, said Ikuhiko Ono, consul in charge of public information at the Japanese Consulate.
The crash occurred at the bus stop on Kamehameha Highway near Salt Lake Boulevard Saturday afternoon. Besides the Nakagawa family, two visitors from Germany and a couple from New Jersey were at the bus stop. The German victims were treated and released at Queen's, and the New Jersey visitors escaped injury.
The driver, 68, of Nanakuli remains in fair condition in Queen's. Police are investigating what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
