Rosalio "Sayong" J. Begonia, 87, of Kekaha, Kauai, a retired laborer with David Chang Construction, died Thursday at his home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Melba; son Romel; daughters Delilah Verzosa, Pylman Parado Jr., Liberty Camat and Sonita DelaCruz; sister Damiana, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha. Call after 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire.

Encarnacion Casabar Cabe, 85, of Kaneohe, died Dec. 4 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by son Angelo; daughters Magdalena Ostman and Jacinta; brothers Rick and Jaime Casabar; sisters Vicenta and Pacita Casabar, and Leonora Tugade, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Mortuary and 9 a.m. Saturday at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. Call: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Mortuary, and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Cecilia Hiilaniwai Kane, 89, of Honolulu, a retired operator for Hawaiian Telephone Company, died Dec. 25 at home. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Paul Jr.; daughters Paulette K. McClain and Pamela K. Kane; hanai son Alvin Arnold; brothers Francis "Bud" Arnold and Thomas E. Arnold; sisters June Walker, Alice Mae Stertz and Yvonne Ernst, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary. Harriette "Sweet Pea" Hatsuye Kawahara, 80, of Hilo, a retired cafeteria school manager, died Wednesday at her daughter's home in Hilo. She was born in Paia, Maui. She is survived by son Bruce Alan; daughter Penny L. Pitman-Kelii; sisters Kay Nagata, Jane Kunimitsu and Ruth Nakano, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Protestant Church of Hilo. Call after 1 p.m. A private scattering of the ashes will follow at a later date. Aloha attire.

Emil "Emo"Lani Keohokalole, 57, of Waianae, a retired construction laborer, died Dec. 24 in Waianae. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by mother Emma; former spouse Chloe; daughters Lori-Lani and Jeanine Keohokalole and Cherie Battle; brothers James "Moe," Joseph "Jolo," Dennis "Bla" and Adrian "Pehu"; sister Emalia, and five grandchildren. Alice Yung Yin Liu, 86, of Honolulu, died last Monday at Maunalani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Clifford; son Owen; daughter Shirley Lee; three brothers and five sisters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Albert Alimahamed Pedro, 75, of Fountain Valley, Calif., died last Monday. He is survived by wife Marie; son Albert; sisters Katherine Camara and Carol Moretz; step-daughter Myrna Helm, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dr. Louis Stong Rockett, 80, of Wailuku, Maui, a plantation doctor for the Wailuku Sugar Company and later a general surgeon for the Maui Medical Group, died Thursday at his residence. He is survived by wife Pearl; sons Michael and David; daughters Susan Buechler, Camille, Adele and Denise Nakano, and five grandchildren. Services: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Kahului Union Church. Ethel Savidge Roth, 91, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a homemaker, died Dec. 22 at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. She was born in Austria. She is survived by daughter Diana Nui. Services: 5 p.m. Thursday at Keauhou Bay. Scattering of the ashes to follow.

Agnes Setsuko Sewake, 71, of Honolulu, an office clerk for Seicho No Ie, died Thursday at Kuakini Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by brother Frederick Tadao Tani, and sisters Hilda Namiko Inouye and Asako Taketome. Services: 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Casual attire.

Tatsuo Teraoka, 85, of Pearl City, a retired Hickam Air Force motor vehicle dispatcher, died Dec. 21 at Kapiolani Medical Center. He was born in Waipio. He is survived by wife Yoshiko; sons Edwin T, Harry T. and Stephen H.; stepsons Mitsumasa Shiraishi; sisters Sugako Kadomoto, Miyako Nakano, Sueno Teraoka and Aiko Ochi, and six grandchildren.
