Churchs memorial service

tomorrow to help heal the
hurt and wounds
Star-BulletinWhen the Rev. Richard Matsushita visited schoolchildren after the Xerox shootings on Tuesday, he saw sadness and questions in their faces.
"If children were hurting, how many more people in the community?" he asked. "We needed to do something positive to help heal the hurt and wounds."
So Trinity United Methodist Church is holding a memorial service tomorrow for the seven people killed at the Xerox building and their families.
Prayers will be given as well for the family of the man accused of shooting them.
Matsushita said he "saw pain in the face" of Hiro Uyesugi, father of Byran K. Uyesugi, who pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges of murdering the seven men. Matsushita called the Uyesugi family to tell them they would not be forgotten, and said Uyesugi's brother Dennis "expressed real appreciation. I know they are hurting."
The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Pearl City church at 1716 Komo Mai Drive.
