Philomena W.S. Ahlo, 85, of Kailua, owner of "Granny Goose Nursery" in Kailua, died last Saturday in Kailua. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Gilbert; daughters Aloha Cummings, Minerva "Nani" Gomes, Barbara Martin and Velma Andrade; brother William Souza, 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Ah Kui Akamu, 77, of Dover, Delaware, a retired senior master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, died Sept. 28 at home. He was also a dance instructor at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. He was born in Honuapo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Tomiko K.; daughter Nina; brothers Ah Fah and Thomas; and sisters Grace Ho, Eunice Akamu, Loretta Cox, Muriel Laa and Vivian Parlin. Sandra Ann "Sandy" Asato, 50, of Wahiawa, retail manager for Business & Leisure Holidays, died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital. She was also a travel agent for Eurasia Travel & J's Travel. Born in Waialua, she is survived by husband Larry H., sons Paul A. and Matthew J., daughter Tammy F., mother Jean K.O.
