» Denny Sadowski, the listed agent for Applied Surfacing Technology, did not bid on the synthetic turf contract for Les Murakami Stadium. A Page A6 story July 22 incorrectly said that he had. Logan Hamocon, owner of Sports Turf Hawaii, was the only contractor to bid on the contract, a University of Hawaii official said. Also, Hamocon has experience laying 5 million square feet of top dressing, which includes natural and synthetic turf. The article mentioned only synthetic turf.

» Lee Webber, president and publisher of the Honolulu Advertiser, made the statement representing the newspaper in an article on Page C2 in yesterday’s morning edition. The story said it was made by Mark Platte, senior vice president and editor. The online edition has been corrected.
» The American Podiatric Medical Association is based in Bethesda, Md. A July 25 article on Page A8 said the group is based in Boston. The online edition has been corrected.
» The last name of state Deputy Attorney General Girard Lau was misspelled as Law in a Page A3 article yesterday. The online edition has been corrected.
» Poet W.S. Merwin and author Maxine Hong Kingston will speak at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Iao Theater in Wailuku, Maui. An item on Page D3 Tuesday said the theater was in Hana. Call (808) 875-7995. The online edition has been corrected.
