» The driver of a Mercury sedan stopped after an 18-year-old woman jumped from the passenger side of the vehicle as it traveled on the H-1 freeway early yesterday. A “Police/Fire” item on Page A3 in yesterday’s afternoon edition said the driver did not stop.

» Stephen Whiting is a retired private fire investigator. A story on Page A3 on Saturday said he was still working in that role.

» Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations Inc. won five awards from the Public Relations Society of America Hawaii Chapter in its annual competition Thursday. “TheBuzz” reported Friday that it had received four awards. In addition, Smythe & Associates LLC won two awards; it was not mentioned in the column. Also, Maui Communicators won a Koa Hammer award of excellence. It won for Taste of Lahaina and Best of Island Music in the subcategory of nonprofit organizations under the category of media relations — association/nonprofit organization.
