Corrections and
clarifications

» U.S. Reps. Neil Abercrombie and Ed Case voted on April 13 against a bill that would repeal federal inheritance taxes in their entirety. An editorial on Page A11 Saturday incorrectly stated that they voted in favor of the bill and that the vote occurred the previous week.

» Former travel agent Wayne Abe entered no-contest pleas to selling worthless airline tickets before Circuit Judge Richard Perkins on Friday. A Page A3 story Saturday incorrectly reported that he pled before Circuit Judge Dexter Del Rosario.

[Clarification]

» The Hawaii Government Employees Association won an arbitrated award that provided an average wage increase of 8 percent for the 2003-2005 contract. According to the terms of the contract, HGEA members received no raises in the first year of the contract. All the raises took effect in 2004. A story on Page A1 Saturday might not have been clear.
