A law enforcement source said the warrant was for a forgery offense in San Francisco.

Alexio was arrested in his Honolulu home by officers with the Hawaii Fugitive Task Force.

He was held last night at the District Court cellblock on Alakea Street.

Alexio was a heavyweight world-champion kickboxer who regularly drew large crowds to his fights in the 1990s.

According to a June 2, 1997, Star-Bulletin article, Alexio beat Barrington "Pit Bull" Patterson with a fifth-round TKO in Alexio's final fight in Hawaii.

At the time, Alexio said he was leaving Hawaii to pursue a movie career.
