presents spiritual
seminars

Honolulu 2004 in late February
will feature several internationally
renowned speakers

Local pastors, teachers and church members will hear inspirational talks and practical advice from an array of evangelists, authors and motivational speakers at the Honolulu 2004 conference of Hawaiian Islands Ministries.

Feb. 2 is the deadline for registration for the "Walk on Water" conference, which will offer 80 workshops and six general worship sessions at the Hawai'i Convention Center. The three-day event from Feb. 26-28 will feature a separate series of "Youth Track" talks and a concert by Christian musician Chris Tomlin. For the first time, the conference will provide seminars for teachers in partnership with the Association of Christian Schools International.

This will be the 21st session of the event, which was founded by the Rev. Dan Chun and his wife, Pamela, to give local church leaders access to internationally known Christian evangelists, writers and speakers. Among those who will present keynote talks at general sessions are:

>> The Rev. David Yonggi Cho, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul and founder of Church Growth International seminars.

>> Ravi Zacharias, whose "Let My People Think" radio show is carried on 800 Christian radio stations.

>> Susan Yates, author of books and magazine articles on Christian family issues.

>> Leith Anderson, radio evangelist on the "Faith Matters" show and pastor at Wooddale Church in Minnesota.

>> Tony Campolo, retired Eastern University sociology professor and author of numerous motivational books.

>> Chris Tomlin, a leading composer of Christian music.

Individual reservations for the entire event will be $199 in advance or $249 at the door. An individual session ticket will be $25 in advance or $35 at the door. Reduced rates are available for students, pastors and pastors' spouses.
