Sarah Pua'ala "Aunty Honey" Barnes, 83, of Sonoma, Calif., died May 15 in Sonoma. She was born in Kapaa, Kauai. She is survived by sons Roger, Louis "Brownie" and Arthur "Skipper"; daughters Mary Lou Leslie, Juvenna Chang and Georgi Koepp; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Liberty Helenihi Belfield, 85, of Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Wahiawa, a retired hula dancer, hula teacher, songwriter and homemaker, died May 24. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband William; sons Reginald Jr. and Merton Keaunui; daughters Pearl Mash and Kehaulani Wydall; five stepchildren; brothers Sonny, James, Elliott and Errol Helenihi; sisters Louise Walters and Ruby Kaho'iwai; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Wilfred "Mr. Aloha" Pacyau Dela Cruz, 58, of Waianae, a retired Oahu Transit Services bus driver, died May 27 in Ewa Beach. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Wilfred Dela Cruz Jr. and Dennis and Baron Ho; daughters Gina, Jessica and Maria; sisters Sylvia D.C. Barros and Gloria D.C. William C. Edwards, 91, of Kaneohe, owner of Edwards and Sands Construction Co. and a U.S. Navy fighter pilot who served in World War II, died Saturday. He was born in Ruleville, Miss. Genevieve Wilkins Harper, 93, of Kailua, a retired Firemans Fund Insurance Co. clerk, died May 26 in Life Care Center of Kona. She was born in Globe, Ariz. She is survived by daughters Shirley Hutchinson and Leilani Paxton, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Tomoo Ishikawa, 103, of Hilo, a retired coffee farmer, died May 27 in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Gerald Ishikawa and James H. Dawn Ritsuko Uyeda Ito, 57, of Torrance, Calif., died May 27. She was born in Honolulu. Mitsuko "June" Watanabe, 74, of Chino Hills, Calif., formerly of Kula, Maui, a retired dental technician, died May 12 in Placentia, Calif. She was born in Hawaii. Chieko Yamato, 72, of Honolulu, a homemaker, died Tuesday in Kuakini Medical Center. She was born in Yamaguchi-Ken, Japan.
