PAINFUL JUMP BRINGS EMERGENCY CREWS

Nuuanu station firefighters aided a 15-year-old Pearl City girl who was jumping off Kapena Falls with friends yesterday afternoon, fire officials said. The teenager jumped from atop the falls into the pool, 60 feet below, landing on her back and then complained of back pain. An ambulance took her to Queen's Medical Center. A fire official said she did not appear to be seriously injured. Emergency crews carried her over the stream leading to the falls yesterday
