‘Baywatch’ babe
confirms film

AT LEAST ONE of the former "Baywatch" lifeguards has agreed to take part in a movie being filmed here later this year. Pamela Anderson appeared on CNN's "Larry King Live" Tuesday night and acknowledged having a "little cameo" role in the reunion movie.

The blond bombshell, sans fake eyelashes or much makeup, told Larry King that fans could expect all of the show's stars to participate in the filming. "You have to," Anderson said. Now if only David Hasselhoff can get out of rehab by September ...

COMEDIANS AND RAVERS don't often share the same venue, but don't tell the folks at Aiea's Emporium Lounge. Saturday nights there for the past few weeks have featured the comedy of Paul Ogata starting at 8 p.m., followed by an all-ages rave at 10 p.m. Tickets for the comedy show are $5; after 10 p.m. those of legal drinking age will need to pay a $3 cover while everyone under 21 pays $7 each. The rave will feature DJ's Bite, Plastic, Spy-Rolle and Technique spinning house, disco, trance and drum 'n' bass.

As for Ogata, who also performs on Fridays at the lounge with Mel Cabang, 2002 has kept him trying his best to ride the surge in popularity that stand-up comedy currently enjoys. Working with Cabang, Andy Bumatai, Bo Irvine, Frank B. Shaner and Augie Tulba at the Emporium Lounge, along with a couple of gigs at Wave Waikiki, have helped keep him busy since getting hitched in January -- a good thing for Ogata, especially since he moved into a new house this week ...

ON SUNDAY, head over to Kapiolani Park Bandstand and check out how popular the ukulele has become around the world. The 32nd Annual Ukulele Festival kicks off at 10 a.m. with a mix of local, international, amateur and professional uke strummers performing on the bandstand stage.

Along with event organizer Roy Sakuma's 800-member keiki band, ukulele associations from countries like Samoa and Japan will perform. Local musicians Ernie Cruz, Jr., Ohta-San, Kilinahe, Keoki Kahumoku, Herb Ohta Jr. and Lyle Ritz will also be on hand to pluck a G-string or two.

Entertainment continues until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, and a moment of silence will be observed in memory of the late Moe Keale. Call 732-3739 for details ...
