Wilton speaks at QB Club

UH men's volleyball coach Mike Wilton will headline the Honolulu Quarterback Club's weekly program at the Pagoda International Ballroom Monday.

Kamehameha boys basketball coach Daryl Gabriel and St. Louis boys basketball coach Delbert Tengan will also speak.

Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., and the program begins at noon. The public is invited.

Hawaii-Hilo and HPU drop doubleheaders

San Diego State swept Hawaii-Hilo in a baseball doubleheader at Francis Wong Stadium last night, 9-0 and 7-4.

Mike Moat pitched a one-hitter for the Aztecs (3-1) in the opener, allowing just a single to Danny Rhodes.

Darren Chu drove in a pair of runs for Hilo (1-13-1) in the second game.

Hawaii Pacific dropped a doubleheader to Cal State-Chico at Hans L' Orange Park Friday, losing 6-3 and 14-5.

The Sea Warriors fell to 3-9 for the season. The Wildcats are still perfect at 4-0.

BYUH pulls even with Sea Warriors

The Brigham Young basketball team beat Hawaii Pacific 82-65 at Laie Friday.

Kelii Naihe scored 14 of his 23 points in the first half to fuel the Seasiders.

The Sea Warriors scored only 18 points in the first half on 21 percent shooting. Nick Spajic scored 23 points in the second half, but it wasn't enough.

The teams will play again Friday at 7:30 at Mid-Pacific gymnasium.

Pro Bowl express to start early

The Bus will be running an express service from 16 locations directly to and from Aloha Stadium, beginning at 8:15 a.m., for next Sunday's Pro Bowl

The service costs $3 each way and transfers and passes will not be accepted.
