Adrian K.T. "Chubby" Chung, 70, of Honolulu, who retired from the Hawaiian Telephone Co., died Tuesday in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by companion Jean Hiraoka; sons Darick and Darrell; brother Ernest; sisters Ailean Lau and Kathleen Kang, and four grandchildren. Services: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nuuanu Memorial Park Mortuary. Call from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire.

Donald K. Takeshita de la Cruz, 63, of Eleele, Kauai, a retired factory supervisor with Gay and Robinson, died Oct 1 in Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Aurelia; sons Keven and Brian; father Fred; brothers Stanley and Ernest, and sister Roberta Agena. Mass: 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Leroy J. Folk Jr., 79, of Honolulu, a retired aircraft mechanic at Hickam Air Force Base, died Sunday in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mary Gay; sons Leroy III, Randolph, Buster D. and Lawrence B. Folk and Albert G. McDougall; daughters Monetta Simone and Vivian Lutu; sister Vivian Gregulho, and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Kay H. Hashimoto, 36, of Honolulu died Oct. 2 in St. Francis Medical Center. She was born in Korea. She is survived by husband Ericson; daughter Joanne Ogasawara, and brothers David and tomorrow at Calvary Chapel of Honolulu. Private inurnment. Aloha attire. No flowers.

Shuji Igawa, 87, of Aiea died Oct. 3 in Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. He was born in Olaa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Matsuko; sons Dennis and Lance; daughters Louise Miura and Kathleen Sawaguchi, and five grandchildren. Private services.

Merle H. Kasten, 80, proprietor of the Cocktail Center in Honolulu during the 1960s and 1970s, died Sept. 16 in Sarasota, Fla. She was born in Chicago. She is survived by companion Lynn Cefali. Private services.

Michael I.W.Q. Mew, 49, of Honolulu died Oct. 5 in Straub Clinic and Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Jo Ann; son Christopher; parents George and Amy, and sister Karen Komoto. Services over the ashes: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Casual attire.

Hiroki Murakami, also known as Sam H. Murakami, 82, of Wahiawa died Oct. 4 in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in Puna, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Lillian H.; daughter Jean U. Taguchi; brothers Masaki, Haruki, Kameki, Kotoki, Asaki and Hisaki, two sisters and two grandchildren. Private services. Inurnment held.

Yukie Murakami, 88, of Kaneohe, a cafeteria worker with the state Department of Education, died Oct. 3 in Honolulu. She was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai. She is survived by husband Kazuyoshi; son Paul; daughters Phyllis Murakami-Siu, Janice Kanayama, Amy Harada and Susan Hori; sister Gertrude Yasuda, and nine grandchildren. Private services.

Gregory B. "Bun" Oshiro, 68, of Honolulu, a retired general contractor, died Wednesday in Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Nancy N.; sons Gregory B., Garrick B., Glenn S., Grant S., Gordon M., Geno N. and George S.; sisters Jean T. Kamiya and Anna K. Angus Van Rutledge, 83, formerly of Hawaii, a retired colonel in the U.S. Army, died Wednesday in Laurel Creek Health Center in Fairfield, Calif. He was born in Ninnekah, Okla. He is survived by wife Mary C.; sons John H., Mark A. and Wayne S.; brother Dr. L.A., and a grandson. Burial: Arlington National Cemetery.

Faustino B. Salcedo, 91, of Honolulu died Saturday in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Juanita; daughter Leticia Valencia; sons Norberto, Ricardo, Crispulo and Danilo, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Yoshino Shimomura, 90, of Kaneohe died Oct. 2 in Kuakini Geriatric Care. She was born in Sprecklesville, Maui. She is survived by sons Wilfred K. and Noel R.; daughters Ruth E. Shimabukuro, Betty N. Trinh Le Truong, 76, of Honolulu died Wednesday. She was born in Vietnam. She is survived by husband Minh Ly; sons Larry, Allan, Hunter, Leon, Andy, Kim and Tam; daughters Ann, Tina, Cynthia and Lynn; brother Quy Lam; sister Sanh, and 17 grandchildren. Audrey J. Whitney, 77, of Honolulu, a former ground hostess for Pan American World Airways, died July 23 in Honolulu. She was also a retired teller at the Bank of Hawaii, Waikiki Branch. She is survived by nephews Dana and David Pressnall and niece Deby Pressnall. Private services.

Satsuyo Yamada, 77, of Koloa, Kauai died Sunday in Hale Omao Care Home. She was born in Koloa. She is survived by friend Shoichi Iwasaki and sister Masayo Nakamura. Private services.

Matsuko Yamahira, 80, of Lihue, a retired sales clerk with Kauai Stores, died yesterday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born in Makaweli, Kauai. She is survived by daughters Jacqueline Yamahira and Flora Oda; brothers Hichiro, Toichi and Kanichi Tanigawa, and two grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. Sunday at Kapaa Missionary Church. Noboru Yamamoto, 91, of Waipahu died Sept. 29 in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by sons James M., Dan Y. and Calvin T.; sisters Mitsuko Kanehira and Lillian Ogata, and three grandchildren. Private services. Inurnment held.
