University of Hawaii senior guard Raylene Howard is one of 48 finalists for the NCAA Division I Kodak Women's All-American basketball team.

Howard, the co-Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year, was one of six players named to the District 7 team announced yesterday.

Other WAC players on the district team were Rice's senior guard Marla Brumfield; D'Dra Rucker, a junior guard at Southern Methodist; and SMU senior forward Karlin Kennedy.

Ten players will be selected from the eight geographical district for the 10-member All-American team.
