Pro Bowl players
at Sea Life Park

Pro Bowl Family Day at Sea Life Park, with select NFL players and cheerleaders taking part, will be presented by Atlantis Adventures on Feb. 5 from noon to 7 p.m.

Residents and guests will have an opportunity to meet players and get autographs.

The park also will host a Kiddie Bowl for children with games and educational activities.

Kamaaina and local military admission rates are $12 for adults, $6 for children.

Aiea Whiz Kid bowls 300

Tiffany Gois, a 16-year-old Roosevelt High School student, rolled a 300 game while bowling in the Aiea Whiz Kids junior program at Aiea Bowl Saturday.

She followed up the perfect game with games of 238 and 205 for a 743 total.

UH softball ticket sale

With the completion of remodeling of the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium, sales of UH season tickets will begin on Jan. 24.

Season tickets will be available at the Stan Sheriff Center box office and the ticket hotline (944-BOWS). Individual game tickets will be sold at the box office, on the hotline and at UH campus Center and the Rainbowtique at Ward Center during normal business hours.

Game-day sales will be conducted at the Rainbow Baseball Stadium box office, one hour before scheduled games.

Season tickets cost $30 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $10 for children (4-18 years old) and UH students with ID. Individual game tickets are $3 general admission, $2 for seniors and $1 for children and UH students

The Wahine's season starts Feb. 10 with the six-team 2000 Chevron Paradise Classic.

Bike-the-Base race Saturday

The Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Kaneohe Bay will host its sixth annual Bike-the-Base Race Saturday, Jan. 22, starting at 8 a.m. The public is invited to attend and participate.

There will be a 15-mile Mountain Bike Grueler along a scenic stretch of paved roads and dirt paths.

The race fee is $12 and includes an official T-shirt and light refreshment. Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers along with the top finishers in four age-groups.

After the race, there will be a "Fun Ride' geared toward families and free to everyone.

The Bike Shop will conduct free bicycle safety inspections at the race site from 6 to 7 a.m. Helmets are required.

Bodybuilding meet March 12

The Hawaiian Classic Bodybuilding Contest will take place March 12 in the Regency Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki hotel.

There will be open men's and women's divisions, a novice men's division and a masters (35 years and older) division.

Scheduled guest posers include Chris Cormeir, Mike Matarazzo, Jay Cutler, Aaron Maddron and Anna Marie Onesti.
