Water in Hilo Bay appears to be receding, according to a live video from KHNL-TV, a possible sign that a tsunami is on its way.

At 11:35 a.m., the video shot showed ground and reef exposed in the bay. 

Officials caution that tsunami prediction is not an exact science and the public should remain on higher ground and safely away from the water all across Hawaii.
