An earthquake estimated at magnitude 3.7 was recorded 33 miles north of Kahului today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake happened at 11:39 a.m. at a depth of 12 miles and was felt throughout Maui and as far away as Molokai, Kailua and Waipahu, according to the USGS Web site.

Maui police reported receiving a few calls about the earthquake but there were no immediate reports of damage.
