Punahou School athletic director Tom Holden will retire at the conclusion of the 2008-09 school year, the school announced today.

Holden, 61, served 11 years as AD at the private Honolulu high school. In 2007, Punahou won 16 of 32 state championship titles and was ranked first in the nation by Sports Illustrated magazine in May 2008.

“;Tom has helped shape our athletics program to reflect the values and vision of our school,”; Punahou School president James K. Scott said in a statement.
