Led by Jamie Houston's 21 kills, No. 7 Hawaii opened its first road trip with an impressive 25-11, 25-20, 25-16 victory over Louisiana Tech today in Ruston, La.

Stephanie Ferrell added eight kills for the Rainbow Wahine, improving to 10-2 overall, 3-0 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Lady Techsters fell to 2-8 and 0-3.

Hawaii is next at New Mexico State Saturday.
