A 37-year-old man is being held on $1 million bail after being charged with 2nd degree murder for a shooting in Waipahu on New Year's Day.
Chadwick Tadly, 37, was one of three people arrested at an apartment complex on Leolua St. yesterday morning.
Police said officers found a 22-year-old man lying in a pool of blood in an apartment with a single gunshot at about 6:43 a.m. Tadly and an 18-year-old and 17-year-old man were in the apartment.
Kau said he did not know if charges were filed against the teenagers.
The victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, where he later died, said police Maj. Clayton Kau.
Chadwick is also charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Court records indicate Chadwick was convicted five times of petty misdemeanors since 1990, including theft, driving under the influence and disorderly conduct.
