Man arrested for a Kalihi shooting

Police arrested a 34-year-old Waikiki man in connection with a shooting in Kalihi that injured one man last night.
Police said the suspect drove to a home on Lima Street where a group of friends had gathered shortly before midnight.
An argument broke out and the suspect got into his vehicle, drove about 100 feet and then got out of the vehicle and fired several rounds from a handgun at the group, police said.
A bullet struck a 27-year-old man in the leg. He was hospitalized in stable condition.
Police were called, and the suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder and a weapons violation The gun was not recovered.
