The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office identified today the 51-year-old Makaha man who died from a stabbing last night as Johnny Walton Jr.

Walton bled to death from a stab wound that severed blood vessels in his right arm, the examiner's office said. The manner of death was a homicide.

Police arrested Thomas C. Muscara, 27, of 84-757 Kiana Place, about 8:15 p.m. yesterday on suspicion of second-degree murder in the case and on three contempt warrants. His bail for the warrants was set at $5,700.

He has not been charged with the murder.

Police were called to the Makaha Valley Plantation condominium complex at Kiana Place shortly after 7:30 p.m. on a report of an argument between neighbors.

The victim died of his stab wounds to his right side several hours later a local hospital.

Police said they recovered a folding knife at the scene.

Walton was the third person this week to die of stab wounds on Oahu:

>> On Monday, Dorothy Stribling, 88, was stabbed to death in her Nuuanu home, allegedly by her 61-year-old daughter, Claudia Warner-Gonzales. Warner-Gonzales was charged with second degree murder on Tuesday, but her attorney said yesterday that she is not fit to appear in District Court for her preliminary hearing Monday.

>> On Tuesday, Harlan Kamekona, 49, entered Pali Lanes in Kailua and stabbed his ex-girlfriend, Theresita Paulo, before turning the knife on himself and inflicting fatal injuries. Paulo was in fair condition at the Queen's Medical Center yesterday.
