Have you ever flown over Maui’s wind farm and wondered what the wind mills are all about? Kaheawa Wind generates 30 megawatts of energy when the wind is blowing at full power with 20 turbines that generate 1.5 megawatts each.  Hawaii imports 90% of its fossil fuels for its electricity.  Kaheawa Wind would like that to change for both economic good sense and environmentally smart reasons.
