Four public schools have been designated as evacuation centers as Oahu awaits potentially destructive seismic sea waves. 

These schools were identified by emergency response officials:

>> Nanakuli Intermediate and High School, which had about 550 people as of 9:45 a.m.

>> Leihoku Elementary School in Waianae, with about 80 people

>> Waialua High School on the North Shore, about 33 people

>> Kailua High School, about 35 people
