If a tsunami warning is issued this morning, sirens will be activated, alerting residents of coastal areas to evacuate, said Ray Lovell, state Civil Defense spokesman.
“Go in-land,” Lovell advised.
Check the front of the phone book where there are maps showing areas on Oahu that need to be evacuated, he advised.
Lovell said residents also can go to the civil defense’s Web site at http://www.scd.hawaii.gov and type in their address.
He said residents who are living outside of the an evacuation area “should stay where you are.”
