Big Isle police continue search for missing woman

The search continues today for a missing 41-year-old Kona woman whose sport utility vehicle was found in a remote location near the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii in Kona.
Police said Tomoko Ioh was last seen 10:30 a.m. Sunday leaving her home in her silver 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Detective Sean Smith said the area where her SUV was found at 6 p.m. Sunday is off the Queen Kaahumanu Highway between the Kona Airport and Hinalani Road near Costco.
Ioh, whose first language is Japanese and who speaks little English, is married with children.
She is described as, 5-foot-1, 110 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a medical condition that may require medication, police said.
Smith said her family did not know where she was going.
