Maui Dad's Day event will be on air

Makena, Maui » ”;Mai Makena Mai,”; a two-hour radio show, will be broadcast live on Father's Day from the Makena Beach & Golf Resort. The show will air during the resort's Sunday brunch service at the Molokini Restaurant.

Pacific Radio Group Maui will broadcast the program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on KPOA 93.5 FM. The show also will be simulcast on the Internet at http://www.kpoa.com.

The broadcast will feature radio personalities Braddah Poki and “;Morning Goddess”; Alaka'i Paleka, along with Maui musician Uncle Richard Ho'opi'i and his son Kai. Halau Nawaipunalei, directed by Leimomi and Pono Murray, also will perform.

Before the broadcast, the radio station will give away a grand prize that includes a two-night stay at the resort, Sunday brunch for four, horseback riding for four and a sports massage for two. Prizes also will be given away during the Father's Day brunch.
