Reported gunfire leads to arrest

Police arrested a 48-year-old Waianae man on suspicion of firing a gun several times Friday night at Waianae Beach Park.

The man was arrested at his home on suspicion of five counts of reckless endangering.

Three fishermen told officers that the suspect was about 30 yards away when he fired the gun shortly before 10 p.m., police said.

Suspect charged in Kaimuki robbery

A 48-year-old man was charged Friday in the robbery of a Kaimuki business on May 8.

Police arrested Richard Webb, who has no local address, at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd. on Wednesday afternoon after an investigation.

Police said the man entered the unidentified Kaimuki business at 11:12 p.m. and demanded money from a safe. The man told a woman at the business that he had a gun.

Webb was charged with first-degree robbery and kidnapping. His bail was set at $50,000.

5 boys arrested in theft at school

Police arrested five boys who allegedly broke into a Wahiawa school Thursday afternoon and stole two golf carts.

The boys, ages 16 and 17, were identified and arrested about 8 a.m. Friday. They were released pending investigation.

Man allegedly uses machete in threat

A 24-year-old man was charged with threatening a 27-year-old man with a machete Thursday in Wahiawa.

The suspect, a Wahiawa man who lives on Milikana Place, was charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and posted $500 bail Friday morning.

Police said the victim reported that the suspect tapped a machete knife as he walked toward him.
