Synopsis: The Akaka Bill seeks to whitewash history by denying the sovereign status of the Hawaiian Kingdom in contradiction to treaties between the Kingdom and the U.S. and the Cleveland-Lili'uokalani Agreement. It also seeks to turn a national issue into an ethnic one.
